The story of Cain and Abel reveals a dangerous trap many fall into: the need to always be right. While both brothers brought offerings to God, Abel followed God's specific instructions by bringing a lamb, while Cain chose his own way with fruits. When God didn't accept his offering, Cain's wounded pride led him to murder his brother. This contrasts sharply with Jesus, who had every right to assert His authority but instead chose to serve His disciples by washing their feet. The difference between Cain's approach and Christ's approach shows us that true righteousness isn't about proving we're right, but about serving others with humility and love.
