Roadhead! No! I'm the roadhead! And together we are the villain Voltron, coming you this evening with the second part of our ongoing series of Boermongers Sanctum.
That's a good title. To bring you back to where we were last time, to hit you to the drive. Last time, our villainous villains were hanging out by their rooms, and they got called to hang out with Boermonger. He was like, hey, shit's going down, I need you to take care of it.
So they entered the old Sanctum, an old throwback style lair in the middle of a volcano, where they were met with nothing because they were very slowly through it, and then they blew a hole in a wall. And Dr. Delicious just almost got eaten by a Megalodon. And as we left them, the catwalk, they had just came across collapsed behind them, and they found themselves in a new room within this linear, but almost labyrinthine hideout.
You missed out on the Matthew. Making your players do the recap is half of the fun of jamming. Look, I could have read my notes like, I do this all the time. I don't hear you talking about this is normal.
This is how it goes all the time. Thank you very much. Alright, so what everyone sees is this room is a single length, sort of like, it's a whole hallway that just goes straight on. And along the way, you see a variety of fun things, including boulders swinging wildly down half-pipes.
You see axes swinging out from the walls. And they would all impede upon your path, and all over the floor are a series of tiles, which you are almost certain that if you step on the wrong one, we'll call it something bad to happen. Is there a switch on the other side that turns that shit off? Alex, you didn't roll high enough to know that.
You noticed that. Did I? Oh, I noticed all the stuff. I'm gonna look for it.
Maybe I don't see it, but I'm gonna look for it. You look for it. You don't see it. Because nobody has asked, there's light switches on each end of the room that would lead towards the main control center for the old tank them.
Okay, behind us? Yeah. Are there emergency lights on? Yeah, there's still emergency lights on.
A couple of them are flickering in this room, but you can see across to the other side, and looks like there's another set of double doors. Why is this shit so long, guys? I don't know. It's not gonna stop us.
I'm gonna turn it to gas and float through it. You do that. Get to the other side. You coming with me, clear?
No offense, but it seems like this whole thing was made to kill me and James. I feel like Alex and Shannon's characters were made specifically to not have to deal with bullshit. Pretty much. Yeah, I'm gonna shimmy along the other side and all of a sudden there's a vent that puts you into a tiny bottle.
It's a fork on top and shoots you back into the water with a Megalodot. No, no. I hope he loves gas. He's not gas.

So it's some shimming along the wall. I mean like through the wall in the wall. I'm on the other side playing angry birds. Pretty and clear make it.

You do feel another pulse. I completely forgot to mention that in the recap. Can somebody else recap that for me? There are first trees.
There's pulses. They are. You actually hear an accompanying sound with it now. It's not just like a general like floor shaking under your feet.

I guess I'm going to look for switches now that I have been triggered to look for switches by the professor. What is the first strap? It's not a bit well. The first one is that you can see is a swinging axe in the ceiling.
There are several of them. As well as several boulders that kind of look like they're perpetually swinging on half pipes. The floor is distinctly different than before made up of several tiles about one foot by one foot. I was going to say for the swinging axes, I was going to start shooting a bubblegum and then shooting them up so that they stick when they're at the highest moment.
Rolled shoot. Oh, I got a plus eight for that shoe. You get so you're doing it to all of them? I was going to do it for all of them.
Yes. I was going to shoot two gums. Shoot two more gums. I'll save you time and say that there are three axes and two boulders.
But in order to reach the ones that are further down the line, you would have to start crossing the room. All right. But can I reach any of the axes so I can reach the first one? You got the first axe.
It is it is appropriately stuck to the wall and you hear the sound of gears like they're trying to move coming from the ceiling like a mechanism is trying to get it to move. And because it is being met with resistance, it sounds like a motor burning out. The furthest axe, because he got the closest axe to him, the furthest axe from him, I'm going to turn it to a gas and then go up to where the fulcrum is and then corrode the pole that the axe is hanging from so it falls off. So you're going to floor the axe.
I'm going to pack it back in. I got a seven for my physique. You're able to corrode it. The axe falls as it is swinging and it embeds itself into the floor.
Additionally, as a part of that, it triggers one of the floor tiles and a dart flies across or may hold the wall in it embeds itself on the other side of the wall. What side of the wall did it come out of? The north side. I'm going to say clear.
Can you walk through the wall and pull all the darts out of the hidden dart spots? Oh, sure. No problem. Cool.
That's two axes and darts. We got one axis of boulders to go. So we'll say for clear, you give me a... Yeah, go ahead and give me a burgley roll to...

No, no, no. So you're able to... So you're insubstantial. So you can go up to them and see where they are, where the holes are, without anything.
Now... I'm going to say that you know where they are and you can assume that the tiles are on that same plane going north south. Say the room is in east-west room and then the walls are on the north side south side. But because you're insubstantial, you can't pull them out of the wall while you are facing through it.
So that's a long process. It does. It does. How does my penetrating attack work?
Depending on the training, you're insubstantial. Hand through somebody and then make it substantial. So you're basically ripping their insides out. Except this is a wall.

Of course they're going to have the upkeep on the traps. Right. You build those out of the industrial base of America back in the day was at its most prime. Only since then has it really degraded.
So I'm bringing it back. I know. I think Greg probably put these in because he was like, you know what? They're going to be all up to come.

Does this arm of the rest of this? Are all of the darts collectively kind of together? No, they're spread out every five feet or so. On average, every five feet.

You know that on that particular row is going to be one that triggers that would cause the dart to shoot up. How much weight has we put on them? Does it seem like? Have we noticed with them?
You have not noticed because the only thing that's triggered so far is a giant axe falling. All right. And the, I'm going to, if you guys want to take my bag of candy, it's weighs a lot actually and put it down on the tiles. And that way you shoot all the darts.

You were saying that you need to stand on the floor. So I don't think it's. I'm trying to make you work for it. Like you know what row of tiles would cause the triggering, the triggering to happen.

I'm going to peek through to the other side. Do I see a mechanism? You see a series of wires that are connected through the panels on the floor that trigger what looks like some sort of like CO2 canister that would shoot the darts across. Is this a separate room?

So you get down on like your hands and knees and you see like you're when you're substantial, you can just like press down on the tiles knowing where the holes are and you can avoid the darts. So they'll shoot across and when you get to a part where there's like a boulder, you'll go in substantial, go past that and then do it.
So and this one you've disarmed all of the darts, two of the swinging axes and neither of the voltage. Right. Where are the axes swinging by? They're attached to like a fulcrum of pop that's motorized, which actually keeps it swinging.
Early on ropes or is long. Yeah. It's a trap, a strap. I'm more worried about these boulders.

So if you can leap over these. Yeah, I'm saying there's another say I mean you can also the timing is it's not like they're like super fast. So either you know our athletics rolls our Matthew made I know you don't have athletics skill. So you guys can either run through jump over or find a way to stop them.
I mean I made the scenario with the understanding that maybe you would take damage before you got to be right. Yeah, we're players so we're trying to avoid damage. That's kind of our thing. I have an idea.
So if I can get you all to two one piece of gum I will put it on the ends of a cotton candy net. And then me and you together can shoot the net so it sticks so the boulder stays on one side. So he wants all four of us to shoot a piece of gum and make a kind of candy net and then fire the net at the boulder to stick the net to the wall with the gun that we shoot. Exactly.
And then there's like eight footballs. I'm just going to run for it. Yeah, let's just do that. I'm going to go to the other side of the room and wait for everybody.

All right. You make it past the first boulder. You are now between two bowl. You're between a rock and another rock.

I got a minus two. So you're feeling confident you've done some calisthenics as you want to do. You got to stretch a little bit beforehand. You like sort of a pixie stick and then you run for it.
And you think you think you got it that the rock when it was at its peak when you really probably should have gone when it had just passed. So it starts coming down and you kind of you see it coming and you jump when you jump when your legs gets caught and it gets crushed. I should say the rock does three points of physical damage. We'll do it on the edge.
We get clipped by a rock. I mean, it's moving pretty fast. It's not like it just stops on your leg. I know I say I got a little stress box for that.

Okay, you make it good. You get you get you're all on the other side and you feel you not only feel the pulse this time, but there's a secondary rumbling. Let's keep going. I guess I'm going to go through the door.
You burst through the door into what looks like some sort of elaborate foyer. Is there a light switch? There's a light switch. You look out into the room and on the other side you see four figures and the emergency lighting you can't really make out what they are, but you can see that they're attacking what looks like large pillars that are holding up the ceiling of the room and several of them have already been knocked down.
What do the things look like? Roll notice plus three zero player. It is. It's hard to see the emergency lighting is pretty dim.
You've been distracted by all the inner workings of the walls and the mechanisms in the trap room that you're busy now looking for the light switch to try and see if you can make this room any brighter for everyone else. You see these four figures and you recognize them as down on their luck of villain team known as a brass. You got brass balls, a giant brass man with giant bowling ball sized hands. You've got oxidized, a woman in a green robe and a green crown.
You've got the brass knuckle who fight and you have the ringer a man with bells for hands. I'm sorry. You have brass knuckle who fight. Yeah, you fight.
We know these guys, right? Or you've known. You are familiar with them. You lost.
You thought they were in prison. All right. So I was like, hey, what are you guys doing? The woman oxidized looks over and says, we're bringing this place down.
Why? We made an offer we cannot refuse. We are sacrificing ourselves, save those we love. Can't let you get in our way.
You see the one you know as brass balls swings both of his hands wildly like a spinning top and he knocks into another one of the pillars and it starts to crack. I'm going to say I'm not necessarily saying we want to stop you. What's the offer you can't refuse? I'm always willing to hear an offer.
We take this place out and we take out for manga and our loved ones are safe. Oh, so you're just doing it to like protect people from who we made a lot of enemies over the years and you're not getting out of here alive. That's a terrible idea. That's so stupid.
So you're going to kill yourselves to protect loved ones and then how do you even know they're going to be safe after that? Whoever's got to kill them after that because then that's just loose ends. That's what I would do. I'm going to kill your loved ones and I told you to go kill yourself on a suicide mission right afterward.

Right. We were told there was some heroes down here that we need to blow up or kill. Well, we didn't know what it was. We just got to make him in.

Then I'm going to pull out my my rifle and pull out your rifle. One known as brass balls will go and he'll attack another pillar. There's like three left and another chunk of the ceiling starts coming down and you feel like it's not just a pulse anymore. You feel a lot more rumbling as the shock is through the floor walls ceiling.

I thought you just hold out your gun. Okay. You shoot brass balls roll shoot. I'm not in melee.

He's a weak spot and you hit a weak spot. Whatever that may be. You see like steam start shooting out of where the bullet is. Then so he attacked another pillar, but he's you see him start slowing down brass knuckle seeing his compatriot attack does a flying kick.

The guy that attacked him was just brass knuckles, right? And he was just a dude with martial arts ability. The brass knuckle. Yes.
I'm going to say to the professor, focus on the ones taking the pillars. I'll keep him off of you. And then I'm going to fly into the lungs of brass knuckles and then start. Brass knuckle.
Yes. The brass knuckle and start poisoning him. I have a feat that allows me to contest a physique attack somebody while I am a corrosive gas in their lungs. So I'm going to do that.
