Villanova Bolts Frontcourt with Samb

Villanova’s frontcourt just got a serious upgrade with the addition of six-foot-eight transfer Abdou Samb, a former Towson standout who’s bringing much-needed size despite a limited 2023-24 season sidelined by injury. With the Wildcats already stacked at guard, Samb joins a growing forward corps alongside transfers Kwame Evans Jr. and Devin Royal, while Matthew Hodge and Nico Onyekwere stay put. The real buzz? Villanova’s still hunting a true center—and they’re eyeing 7’3” Italian phenom Luigi Suigo, who’s set to announce his NBA draft decision Saturday. Suigo’s only considering going pro if he’s a top-25 pick, and if he pulls his name, Villanova and BYU are in the mix. The Wildcats are clearly building for the paint—and the season’s shaping up to be one to watch. Support the show: Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
