What this episode covers
Vinaya Wate had never travelled abroad until she came to the Gold Coast. She grew up in a Hindu family that can trace its origins back to the very early days of the city of Mumbai and attended a Catholic school there, giving Vinaya a spiritual background formed by both Christianity and Hinduism. While Vinaya has a natural artistic talent with a flair for drawing, it's the technical world that fascinates her most. She studied engineering at the University of Mumbai and while she was there Vinaya began to entertain the idea of expanding her horizons abroad. Now on the Gold Coast studying her Masters in IT at Griffith University, the experience has seen her grow personally, professionally and profoundly.
