Vintage MSD - Square Dance Album (1956) by Holler Hawkins(?)

Who is Holler Hawkins?  A completely made up name/character in order to sell albums.  This recording was originally released in 1956 on Hollywood Records with the calling of Jerry Helt.  By 1960 Hollywood Records was defunct and the recordings made their way to various small labels but the artist, Jerry Helt had moved onto a new record label that would not allow him to appear on another label.  Thus Jerry's name disappeared from the recording and a series of fictitious names came into play, include "Holler Hawkins". The album featured the classic dance routines and singing squares that were fading from popularity in 1956.  Simple in construction and excellent for a newer dancer.
