Welcome to The Shaky Experience “Vinyl Williams Interview”. Your host James Richard Lane speaks volume with Lionel Williams of Vinyl Williams. The band is a psychedelic, dream-pop, shoe gaze solo project by Lionel that features touring and session musicians to accompany his sound. Lionel initially started the project in Los Angeles, California in 2007 and has since released five full length albums as well as a handful of EPs and singles. The band released their latest album Azure, June 5th, on Requiem Pour Un Twister records. Vinyl Williams has previously released music with Toro Y Moi's Carpark Records. Lionel is the son of session drummer Mark Williams and pianist Leah Williams, his grandfather is the legendary cinematic music composer John Williams. Vinyl Williams has received positive praise from NME, Pitchfork, VICE and The Guardian. The band has plans to tour post COVID and to release a new single soon titled "Lady Tiger".
