Violent Clash in South Dublin Leaves One Dead | Belfast News

A deadly brawl erupted in south Dublin, leaving one man dead after hatchets and metal poles were wielded in an abandoned building housing Roma families. Three suspects were denied bail, and two more—Gratian Rostas, 47, and his son Marcel, 19—are now facing violent disorder charges, though neither is accused of the fatal blow. CCTV captures the chaos as a verbal spat spiraled into a brutal melee, with three men hospitalized. Authorities await DPP guidance while bail conditions tighten for those released, including daily check-ins and passport surrender. With trial potentially stretching to 18 months, tensions remain high amid threats against victims and fears of retaliation.
