Virginia Driving Hawk Sneve (born February 21, 1933) is a Native American author. She has written children’s books with the intention of dispelling stereotypes and negative images of Native Americans. A member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe in South Dakota, Virginia was a teacher/counselor in Pierre, White, the Flandreau Indian School, and the Rapid City School District.
