Virko has been traveling for more than 50 years at Mother Earth's chamber. She draws her strength from indigenous wisdom, people and stories, and above all from nature. Virko also acts as a tour guide in Elias Lönnrot's home region, literally following in his footsteps, bringing the old poems of the Finnish people, as well as the Kalevala, to the public. Virko's goal is to bring out the customs and traditions of the indigenous peoples, which are found to be good, and balance with nature. Virko served as chairman of Four Winds tuki ry for 7 years and has been involved in the association's activities for 15 years. She has organized events and courses. Grandfather Charles Lawrence brought the Four Winds Holy Prayer Pipe 2017 from Minnesota and asked Virko to be the pipe bearer. This task is dear to Virko and humbly, while listening to the pipe, he explores the possibilities of deepening her prayers and getting to know the Spirit of the Holy Pipe.Now Virko is doing her life's work at the New Fire Center in Sammatti.
