Alberta’s Virtual MD is expanding its pediatric emergency care, adding eight specialists starting June to handle kids’ urgent needs—fevers, falls, and more—via 811 or Health Link. Since launching in 2022, the program has managed 150K+ referrals, connecting patients with 80+ family doctors for virtual care.
