Virtue, The End Goal?

As we read the Holy Scriptures, there are many lessons and things which we can take and apply to our lives, however our Lord Christ wants us also to look deeper. To look not just at the surface, the temporal things, but to the eternal, the spiritual. In the story of the healing of the paralytic man, Christ heals him physically, but more than that, He heals him spiritually. Forgiving him of all his sins, which is the greater miracle and healing. Let us also look to our souls and ask our Lord to heal us truly, for we have been commanded that we should no longer look to the flesh, but to the spiritual, to the eternal!
