Vision 2026: All In - Jo Leutton
from Riverlife Messages Hosted by Jo Leutton, Riverlife Baptist Church
Ever wondered why Jesus talked about money more than He talked about love, healing, or even forgiveness? This message dives into the uncomfortable but important conversation about giving, not as a fundraising exercise, but as a genuine act of discipleship and worship. Starting with Jesus' challenging words in Luke 14 about counting the cost of following Him, we explore what it means to make God, not money, the master of our lives. Through personal testimony, biblical teaching, and some surprisingly competitive Bible races, this message unpacks five key principles: everything belongs to God, proportional giving is a biblical baseline (but not a limit), giving is an expression of trust, the local church is the primary place for our generosity, and ultimately, giving is about discipleship and heart transformation. It's honest, pastoral, and deeply practical—acknowledging the financial pressures we all face while pointing us toward the freedom that comes when we stop clutching our pebbles and receive God's diamonds instead. **Bible Verses Mentioned:** Luke 14:25-33, Matthew 6:19-34, 2 Corinthians 9:7 CONNECT WITH RIVERLIFE CHURCH HERE AT Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/riverlifebaptistchurch Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RiverlifeBaptistChurch Website: https://riverlifechurch.org.au

What this episode covers
In this message, we tackle one of Jesus' most-taught topics, money, and explore what it looks like to follow Him wholeheartedly in every area of life. It's a mid-year refocus on discipleship, generosity, and letting go of the things we grip tightly so we can receive what God has for us and give from what He's given us.
