Vision - Neh 1
from Chris Stuart - Tyndale’s Plowboy Hosted by cstpb
The central message of this sermon is that effective action in pursuit of one's vision or purpose requires a three-stage process: knowing God's plan and purpose (cognitive stage), feeling ownership and connection with that purpose in one's heart (affective stage), and then putting it into practice through prayer and work (behavioral stage). This process is rooted in the biblical concept of "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven," and emphasizes the importance of allowing God's purposes to guide and motivate one's actions, rather than simply trying to achieve a goal without connection or passion. The sermon suggests that skipping any of these stages can lead to ineffective or superficial action, and encourages listeners to reflect on where this process may break down for them individually.
