It is my absolute pleasure to welcome to the BNP, esteemed animator, director and storyboard artist Lubomir Arsov. Lubomir is a storyboard artist, character artist and an innovative, original animator, and he has worked for such major productions as The Ice Age and The Book of Life.I discovered Lubomir's animated short film In Shadow the other night while searching for trippy cartoons on the Interwebs, and it absolutely blew me away. In Shadow is a 13 minute long journey into the deep, dark underbelly and collective Unconscious of modern Western man. If that sounds like it would be gruesome and spooky, you'd be correct. Arsov's work tackles the hidden secrets and buried taboos that in many ways define our modern world, even while they are largely ignored (at least consciously) by the masses. In Shadow drags this horrific darkness out into the light, and ultimately the film is an uplifting and confronting invitation to rehabilitate our darkest personal and societal shames, and to bathe our fears and hatred in the light of Infinite Awareness.  Definitely check it out!!
