Vogt Steps Up for Local Causes | Cleveland Guardians News

Guardians manager Stephen Vogt is turning his custom gear during MLB’s Players’ Weekend into a heartfelt mission, wearing special shoes to spotlight two charities close to his heart: the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio. His personal connection to the Ronald McDonald House stems from when his wife Alyssa and her family stayed there while her brother was hospitalized — a memory that fuels their commitment to give back. Vogt sees this as more than just a fun event; it’s a chance for athletes to honor the communities that support them and remind everyone that baseball, while important, isn’t everything — sometimes, making a child smile or helping a family in need brings far greater joy and purpose.
