Voltron: From the Ashes - Cullen Bunn and Blacky Shepherd

from Let's Voltron: The Official Voltron Podcast · host Marc Morrell

Cullen Bunn (Writer) and Blacky Shepherd (Artist) join Marc to discuss the release of Voltron: From the Ashes, a new 6-issue comic book series from Dynamite Entertainment. The 1st Issue is being released on September 16th, and Cullen and Blacky tell us as much as they can without spoiling it for anyone. Cullen and Blacky seem to have come from the same mold, despite growing up in different areas, which makes them perfect collaborators for this Voltron comic book series. We talk about their love of giant robots, Micronauts, the horror genre, and classic japanese anime, as well as the influences that have brought them to where they are today. Obviously, you are going to get to hear more than you've ever heard before about Voltron: From the Ashes, without getting spoiled or upsetting the editors at Dynamite Entertainment. Keep this in mind: this is the same classic Voltron look, but a completely fresh take on Voltron with a new team, 200 years after the original team of Lance, Keith, Allura, Pidge and Hunk.
