This has been observed by every culture in human history and documented by every field of biological science. Gender identity is a different phenomenon. What has happened over the last decade is the deliberate conflation of these two separate things — and the enforcement of that conflation through social, institutional, and legal mechanisms.This episode examines how a genuine clinical phenomenon — gender dysphoria — was expanded into a universal framework, installed into the education system, and equipped with enforcement mechanisms that prevent honest examination.ReferencedTavistock GIDS referral data: 97 referrals in 2009, over 5,000 by 2022. Referrals among girls increased by over 5,000 percent in less than a decade.The Cass Review (2024): Independent review of paediatric gender services commissioned by NHS England. Final report found no reliable evidence that puberty blockers improved mental health or gender dysphoria.
