Episode 66:  Welcome to the Gustavus Health Professions Podcast Season Four!  My name is Heather Banks and I am here with my colleague Heidi Selzler-Bahr and in today’s episode # 66 we have guests, current pre-med student Amelia Qualey, class of 2025 and current pre-PT student Owen Johnson, class of 2024.   The focus of our episode today is on our two Volunteer programs, the Mayo Clinic Caring Hands program that Amelia is a part of and the Parkinson Exercise class which Owen is a part of.  Amelia and Owen are going to talk about how they got involved, the training they received and what the commitment of the volunteer program looks like.  TODAY, Wednesday, March 20th, 2024 the applications are available online (check your vitals email for the link) and they are due on May 1.  These volunteer programs are a great way to give back and also gain patient care experience.  If you want to participate, we encourage you to listen.
