Volunteering At Conventions

While I don’t feature in this live recording, I wanted to capture it and have it out in the ether. Les Eller is the head of volunteers for PopCon and has been there since its beginnings. He came to me with an idea to have him and his assistant Amy do a panel/podcast recording about the experience of volunteering at a convention and how you can get involved if you’re curious. A little bit in, they are joined by other area lead volunteers Jessica (celebrity handling) and Amber (vendor registration) to die even deeper. Turned out to be a nice success as people perusing by stopped in to listen, ask questions and express their desire to volunteer for PopCon Indianapolis 2025. As such, I want this recording to exist somewhere for anyone who has ever been curious about what goes on or has interest in volunteering at a pop culture convention no matter where or which one.
