Alright, greetings greetings, welcome to another episode of Truth to Power. I am your host, Tyrus Torel, Midnight. And tonight I got a lot to get out of my get off my chest. I know it's been a minute, it's been a while since we've done these podcast but as everybody know I've been very busy trying to put this stuff in together and get a It's just the last time we spoke with, I did a film, a book and released the album.

And Apple had a little bit of dispute with me, that's why it's not on Apple but it's okay I'm releasing a new single this week actually. And it's gonna be for the EP21 dedicated to my grandmother because we share the same date, that's why the version is 921-13-12-21-88. So I decided to do something dedicated to her because you know I love her so much she was just an intricate part of my life and just so special to me.
But tonight I want to address a few things. Now this is my political on, this is the political on my podcast. My other form is my relationship slash dating, slash social platform which is the game. The game is available on Amazon.com on Amazon Prime.
If you speak we did an episode as far as video goes. But I want to talk about the direction so truth the power because it is very special to me I think about truth the power every day. I've been thinking about it every day. It hasn't dropped my mind on once since I got real busy but you know you get this busy and certain things are going to itself and fall by the wayside.
And this is one of the things that fell by the wayside. But if you're some noise that's my own watching machine I'm sorry I'm gonna play a watching game and go in spy case. But even more so than that we're gonna get through this together. But I've been doing more, being planning more and things are gonna get real.
And within the next few months we're gonna see things come to fruition that I talked about and we also have an election less than a month away. Now I think I know this one thing I want to get on my chest is this whole Kamala Harris campaign. I see a lot of people on political TikTok talking as if this woman has done the wrong. I see a lot of democratic shields attacking black people for saying that they're not gonna vote for Kamala strictly because she claims to be black and in the next days this one it claims to be black but she has no black credentials besides going to HBCU and messing with downtown with the brown and Montiel Williams you know.
And we got different people on different platforms saying well which means you know black can't you look at her? No she's not black. I mean she has a mother that's Indian she's identified as a Southeast Asian her whole career until she became president. And one thing my minister says is this he said it's stuck with me.
He said we will be a fool to not accept correct advice even if it's coming from an enemy. That's foolish. And I've been seeing a lot of foolishness on all these platforms and different platforms like social media and things like that. Now once you ask people well what or why are you voting for Kamala Harris and things like that because you have to remember what the democratic did in order to get her to be the nominee was very legal.
That goes against the democracy if you did not know that. It was supposed to be Joe Biden running for president. However he was just to see how to do it but who can see this coming and I've been sitting there for the last four years I was like Joe Biden to see now just like anything in the White House but and a lot of things is the lot of things is black people we have a short memory when it comes down to people throwing things towards Joe Biden is the architect of mass incarceration. He's the architect of mass incarceration and we talk about Kamala Harris' track record is horrible with black people especially in California she locked up so many single mothers in California but under those truancy laws one guy was innocent of his crime and she still pursued the case as if he was guilty and she had all the evidence and she laughed in his face.
Don't believe me look it up. This thing I'm asking you guys to catch up with me and if I'm wrong come back and tell me wrong come back and say you made your own. I don't mind it but let me remind you of something else too. Watch this.
Bury you, bury you. I think we already know. No. With that being said she says she's not going to do anything this is going to benefit black people.
Now people this whole and I said this on a lower coach show back in 2019 or 2019 or 2020 I said this back then when they were talking about one time left our boats and all the rest of this stuff and my argument is my chances are we're both always shipwrecked is already shipwrecked. Now people coming to this country illegally with about 50% to 60% of all the things that they need already and they give them advantages over us and treat us like third-class citizens in a country that we built. And when we talk about white privilege and things like that we already know the game with that and this lady has the nerve to say she's not going to do something that's going to benefit just black people but she's going around wanting to secure the black vote because they're hoping you know about the state of this maybe controversial but I don't really care I don't really like using this word but there's a lot of old niggas that's just messing up the game. You got an old nigga problem in black society because especially when we have ignorant talking points like vote blue no matter who.
Never hear a Republican say vote red until you dig. That's something I never hear. That's something I never hear. You will have to vote for the person that's going to give you the best opportunities in this world and that's not going to hurt your community.
Now even here in New Orleans we are under the Democratic government in New Orleans and top locally not not state by state side state side we are Republican but locally Democrat just did a documentary and that's a long-ago one twenty three doing well by the way people are loving the documentary but it's opening up a discussion about how black people in majority black cities with majority black leaders, court and court leaders and legislators, government officials are still controlling a mind loop portion of economics in their own city so if you are the majority of your city majority of your city and population and you're not controlling the economics significantly then something's wrong with that. You're being gentrified, displaced out of your own city but everybody wants to go up and make that tough guy. No you're not you're not fooling me. Everybody wants to be tough until this time to put the boots on for real and go to war for real.
Now we got this national election coming up with Kamala Harris against Trump and my thing is this everybody is going to go blue over red and go in black who is ever going to give black people the advantage of something to the black population as far as protection from the police reparations, economic advantages, something that's going to benefit us directly that's one for but what Kamala Harris and the Democrats are hoping for is the same 50,000 to 31 by which is a very small margin and Georgia turns out again but what they don't but they're not taking account of is that some of those people it's been four years. There's a reason why the Democrats have changed the nominee in the middle of an election. There's a reason for that and it seems as though if black people say listen we're not really going vote for Kamala Harris because we're not sure she's black not only that. Her traffic with black people is shitty.
It seems as if we got people that are still willing to walk in the line and find and say well we got to vote for the last two evils. That has been a dumbish and a history of life. I always thought it was dumbish. Some of you need to let go of what your parents told you because a lot of because a lot of people as it relates to your parents we still got a lot of things that need to be overthrown.
Even with some of the things I was talking to the kid I had to let go. Especially when it comes down to church and I'm not going to get into the religion unfortunately or things like that and I'm not going to disparage it by the religion or anything like that but it's just the fact that I mean just some of the things that you talk just makes no sense if you really read. They don't expect for you to go do your own research like this whole notion where they say well Jesus says no to everybody. No he doesn't say that.
As a matter of fact as a passage in Luke where Jesus says bring my enemies so I can kill them. In a Bible. If I check it but some of you are so weak and cut in condition and stuck in a condition where it's like what I'm going to do is I'm still going to follow it even though he don't sound like even though his paradoxical is hell. Even though it doesn't make sense.
I'm still going to follow it because I rather do this. I just when people start talking like that I just told them out because I'm just tired of scared and he grows. We need to well it's well I'm not going to say we need to. I think we are ready in a process of cultivating a warrior class.
I think we are in a process of cultivating people that are becoming more politically more sure and really listen to the policies of people instead of just going on voting because of the party. I think that we are really getting to that point now and I think that the Democrats they feel that and if you know me then you know I'm not a big fan of Donald Trump as far as personality wise. However I'm going to say this though one thing that you can't respect is that he's upfront about his white supremacy and his white supremacist mindset. Allegedly I suspect the white supremacist mindset let me clean it up.
He's very upfront about it. He doesn't hide like Joe Biden does. The market's take a Biden's law and the market's take a massive conservation but a lot of people say well major cost of action really don't state the black community but who do they targeted is but a lot of people just don't do the research they just go and think well they don't really I can't even say anything. They have to pause for me.
I can't even say think. They just get conditioned. They get conditioned. I can't even say that they think at all.
But for this particular election it's coming up. I've been debating with myself if I should have a lot of things going on. I'll probably be probably day tired when if we ever were to do something like but look up for a video the first type of video of truth the power on video during the election day and I will have some special guests on and they'll be giving me political opinions about who's going to be the best candidate for black people going forward in the next four years but other than that just be on look up for that. I really just want to get that off my chest and talk to you guys such basis with you guys.
I know it's been a minute you know I got like five stars on Apple podcast and I'm very proud of it. I got five stars on a proud video from a movie low-hinking food and very proud of that. My books are doing very well. A lot of things are just doing well.
The album is doing well. The streaming constantly people are loving the singles. Only people are going to love this single I got this Friday which is called it comes out 12th-clap-minute Friday. It's called 2am-3am.
Very sexy R&B song and we're gonna keep moving in the right direction this year and we're gonna continue to elevate. People are loving you on this 20th-30 and I'm about to be ready to drop the New Orleans politics. The directors cut and I'm about to be able to put that out soon so we don't look out for that. And I'm going to point a seven in New Orleans meet and the venues.
We're still negotiating as far as dates are concerned because I have some things in mind just from some things that I was told and some people that I wanted to attend had some days to mind because that's also going to be a back-meener as well. So we got a lot of things moving well over here. What was only about to want to tell us what you guys get you guys know my opinions on a lot of things and for making the shipping up with this election it's just it's about to be crucial for us and next four years. That's all I can say next four years.
