Voto obligatorio y multa

El Senado chileno devolvió a la Cámara de Diputados el proyecto de ley que busca regular la multa para el voto obligatorio, luego de que la Cámara Baja lo despachara sin esta sanción, lo que generaba inconstitucionalidad. Paralelamente, la Cámara Alta aprobó aumentar de cinco a diez años el requisito de avecindamiento en el país para que los extranjeros puedan ejercer su derecho a sufragio. Ambas iniciativas deben ser ratificadas por los diputados antes de las próximas elecciones.
