In 1973, Jim Spata (along with his wife Lyla) came to Kenosha to look at a promising pizzeria that was on the market. Shortly after, Jim knew that his life in Chicago was now over as his family started a new life in Kenosha as the new owners of Valeo’s Pizza, 5021 30th Avenue! Forty-eight years later, the Valeo family might be long absent from the business, but the high quality food and excellent customer service started by Sal Valeo and carried on by Jim and, in 2013, his son Eric and his wife Christal.
