Waco Block Party Recap

Mariette Frey recaps her recent trip to Waco, Texas, where she had an incredible weekend filled with travel, fun, and networking. She flew into Austin and met up with her friend Michelle before attending the South by Southwest festival. They enjoyed a meal at Caroline's and had to wait for their car due to a music video shoot. Mariette stayed near the Magnolia Network and explored the area, including visiting the headquarters. She also participated in the Rogue Media sponsorship of the Waco Block Party and recorded a podcast at the Texas Music Cafe. The trip ended with meetings with an old coworker and a tech influencer before departing from Austin airport.TakeawaysTraveling for personal reasons can be more enjoyable than traveling for work.Waco, Texas is a cute town with attractions like the Magnolia Network and the Waco Block Party.Networking opportunities and podcast recordings can enhance travel experiences.Exploring local food and coffee scenes can add to the enjoyment of a trip.Chapters00:00Introduction and Arrival in Waco00:58Meeting with Friend Michelle and South by Southwest03:33Staying near Magnolia Network06:15Rogue Media Sponsorship and Waco Block Party08:06Networking at Rogue Media Studios10:19Visit to Magnolia Network Headquarters12:03Appearance on Local CBS Station14:24Attending Waco Block Party with Cousin15:19Recording Podcast at Texas Music Cafe23:32Departure from WacoHave a topic you'd like me to discuss?
