Waddell Wilson was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2020. He sat down with Lake Speed Jr. for a wide ranging conversation about his life, NASCAR career, and finding that Hidden Horsepower when things were so easy. As a NASCAR Cup Series crew chief and engine builder, Waddell was the winning crew chief for the Daytona 500 in 1980, 1983, and 1984, and during his career he was crew chief or engine builder for Holman-Moody, Harry Ranier, and Hendrick Motorsports.
