Waiting on God

When the risen Jesus gave His friends their mission, you’d expect them to take off running. After all, He had just defeated death! But instead of saying “Go,” Jesus said, “Wait” (Acts 1:4–5).Wait? Really? That doesn’t feel practical. Yet, before launching into the work ahead, Jesus told His followers to pause.As we step into September, many of us are already in “go-mode.” But have we taken the time to wait on God?
