WAITING ON THE LORD!

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Scripture: “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) Message: Waiting is never easy. In a world that values speed and instant results, waiting can feel like a burden. But Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that waiting on the Lord is not wasted time—it is a time of renewal and strength. To wait on the Lord means to trust Him completely, even when answers don’t come right away. It means relying on His timing, knowing that He sees the full picture while we only see a part. When we place our hope in Him, He gives us the strength to keep going, even when life feels overwhelming. The imagery of an eagle is powerful. Eagles don’t struggle to fly; they soar by relying on the wind beneath their wings. In the same way, when we trust in God, He lifts us above our struggles, giving us endurance to run the race of life without growing weary. If you are in a season of waiting—waiting for a breakthrough, a healing, a direction—know that God is at work. His delays are not denials, and His timing is always perfect. Instead of growing weary, use this time to draw closer to Him, knowing that He will strengthen you for what lies ahead. Today, ask yourself: Am I waiting on the Lord with trust and expectation, or am I growing weary in the process? How can I shift my focus from impatience to faith? What areas of my life do I need to surrender to His perfect timing? Prayer: Almighty Father, I acknowledge that waiting is hard, but I choose to trust in Your perfect timing. Renew my strength as I wait on You. Help me to rest in Your promises and not grow weary. Teach me to soar on the wings of faith, knowing that You are working all things for my good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
