Waiting That Leads to Strength

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”Isaiah 40:31Waiting is rarely easy. We often want God to answer quickly, remove our difficulties, or show us the next step immediately. Yet Isaiah reminds us that waiting on the Lord is not wasted time. It is a time of trusting, praying, and depending upon Him.God does not promise that His people will never grow tired, but He does promise renewed strength for those who look to Him. Sometimes He enables us to soar above our circumstances with fresh confidence. At other times He gives us endurance to keep running the race of faith. And often, He simply gives us the grace to keep walking faithfully one day at a time.Whatever season you are facing today, do not lose heart. Continue to seek the Lord in His Word, commit your cares to Him in prayer, and trust His perfect timing. The God who never grows weary is able to strengthen those who patiently wait upon Him.PrayerHeavenly Father, teach me to wait upon You with faith and confidence. Renew my strength when I am weary, help me to trust Your perfect timing, and give me grace to continue walking faithfully each day. May my hope remain firmly fixed on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
