Waiting Well

God's time is not our time. As 2 Peter 3:8 reminds us, "With the Lord, one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a single day." Pastor Kunlé preaches about the ways in which we can become impatient while waiting on God. Fear often causes us to shift our trust away from Him, but our eyes must remain fixed on God. Otherwise, it is possible to step out of line with His will. 1 Samuel 13:8–13 provides a powerful example of what can happen when fear takes over. Saul was given a twofold instruction: to wait seven days and to wait for Samuel to arrive. Although he waited the seven days, he did not wait for Samuel to come. This was partial obedience, which ultimately became disobedience, as fear led him to take matters into his own hands . We are encouraged to wait wait through Christ, connection and contribution.
