Waiting with Trust

In this sermon, Pastor Nick Spencer continues his series on the story of Ruth by looking at chapter 3. We see Naomi's plan for Ruth to propose marriage to Boaz, the guardian-redeemer. Even though there is another redeemer who is more closely related, Boaz shows loving-kindness (hesed) by promising to take care of Ruth if the other redeemer does not fulfill his duty. Pastor Nick draws an application to young people about making the decision to seek the shelter and provision of Jesus, our ultimate Guardian-Redeemer.
