Proper rest is essential to our physical and spiritual wellbeing. It’s essential for us that we dream. “People without a vision perish.” (Proverbs 29:18) Joseph’s dream was the type of vision that brought meaning and purpose to his life. It allowed him understand how his seemingly ordinary life could be an extraordinary part of changing the world. Resting and replenishing ourselves is an essential first step in our spiritual journeys. Embracing a dream, a vision for ourselves and the world is a second. The third is no less important. We have to follow through.
