RaeAnn Tucker from the Henry and Stark County Health Departments and First Choice Healthcare Clinics joined Wake Up Tri-Counties to discuss the August Outreach Community Event, Bats, the Upcoming Job Event, Breastfeeding Open House, and World Water Week. Henry and Stark County Health Departments and First Choice Healthcare are highlighting several August events and safety reminders. A homecare assistant hiring event is set for Friday, August 21st, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the main office in Kewanee. The August outreach event follows on Saturday, August 22nd, during the Children’s Safety Event at Black Hawk Educational Center. Health officials are also urging residents to use caution around bats, noting rabies exposure can be serious and should be reported promptly. World Water Week runs August 23rd through 27th, with reminders to protect groundwater and check private wells. A breastfeeding open house is August 27th at the WIC office.
