Wake-Up Weather: Debby's remnants bring downpours, damaging winds & tornado risk

from Weather or Not with Lee Goldberg · host WABC-TV, Lee Goldberg

The remnants of Debby are rapidly churning towards our area, posing a multi-threat of downpours, damaging winds and a tornado risk on Friday. Lee Goldberg says the peak intensity will be during the afternoon and evening hours, and while the rain totals won't match what we saw during the middle part of the week, we could still see 1-3 inches throughout the Tri-State. Given our already saturated ground, it won't take much rain to cause flash flooding, and winds gusts of up to 50 mph, especially at the coast, could cause trees to topple. Lee says we can't rule out a potential isolated tornado given the intensity of the winds. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
