Welcome to Week 2 of Virtual Happy Hour featuring Jessimae Peluso and Katie Toupin! Chris Denman is joined by Pat Gioia and Matt Longueville from STL Barkeep. Pat teaches us how to make a fruity quarantine cocktail with banana, orange, strawberry and lemon, so if your spring break on the beach was canceled, you can at least enjoy a tropical cocktail. Our first guest is comedian Jessimae Peluso who has been featured on MTV’s “Girl Code” and Lights Out with David Spade. Jessimae brought on a surprise guest - John Stamos! Or, at least, a very dramatic framed photo of him. Jessimae chats with us about quarantine activities such as learning guitar (potentially), potentially becoming the “Crock Pot Killer,” beef stew, and some interesting alternative sources of income (hit up her Cameo if you wanna buy feet pics). Jessimae also brings on a second surprise guest - her late father in a travel-sized urn. If you need another drink to process all that, so did we, and thankfully Matt Longueville was there to teach us another quarantine cocktail recipe, this time a unique cocktail inspired by prohibition. Matt makes the bourbon-based drink with maple syrup and eggs so you have every excuse to enjoy it as a breakfast cocktail (Plus, we’re in quarantine so are there really any rules for when to start drinking??) Finally, we were joined by musical guest Katie Toupin to discuss her music and the digital age of the music industry (Like Jessimae, Katie offers feet pics on the highest level of her patreon, btw #SupportArtists). Using her neices ukelele, Katie performs some of her music, including the single “Don’t Wanna Die,” which was very ironically named prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, and describes the story behind it.
