Walk This Way

Sermon by Apostle Ren Schuffman Are you waiting for the waters to part before you take a step? What if God is not calling you to walk through the storm but to walk on top of it?In this message, we explore two powerful kingdom moments side by side. The first is Moses and the parting of the Red Sea, where God made a clear path through an impossible situation. The second is the disciples on the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus walked on the water and invited Peter to do the same. Both are expressions of God's power. But they are not the same path, and recognizing which one He is calling you to changes everything.We dig into why Jesus was walking on the water in the first place. Job 9:8 tells us that only God treads on the waves of the sea. Jesus was not taking a shortcut. He was making a declaration, fulfilling Scripture, and revealing Himself as Yahweh in the flesh. When He said I am to the frightened disciples, He was not just calming their nerves. He was telling them exactly who He is.We also take a closer look at Peter, the one disciple who stepped out of the boat. Yes, he began to sink. But Peter walked on water twice, once going toward Jesus and once coming back with Jesus holding his hand. The eleven who stayed dry never experienced what Peter did. Sitting safely in the boat and criticizing those who step out is not faith. It is fear dressed up as wisdom.We also explore why things sometimes break when God starts to bless us. When Jesus filled Peter's nets the first time, they broke, not because of an enemy attack, but because the nets were not prepared for that kind of harvest. The same is true for new wineskins. When God pours something new into an old, rigid container, it cracks. The blessing is not the problem.
