Walker Shines as Mahomes Returns | St. Louis News

Kenneth Walker III exploded onto the scene in his Chiefs debut, rushing for 173 yards and two touchdowns while Patrick Mahomes quietly dominated with 184 yards, two scores, and a rushing TD — all while proving his surgically repaired knee is back to full strength. The win snapped a three-game skid against the Broncos, who looked lost offensively with Davis Webb at the helm, Bo Nix throwing for just 131 yards, an interception, and a fumble, while Jaylen Waddle went untouched for one catch. Walker’s 60-yard TD run ignited the game, and a fumble by Nix led to a dazzling play where Mahomes lined up in a three-point stance before shoveling it to Walker for the score — cementing Walker as the star and Mahomes as the steady force behind Kansas City’s comeback.
