Gina has gotten the all-clear to start limited exercise, but she feels like she's not doing enough by just walking and would like some inspiration and encouragement. Vinnie says walking affects total fitness, even at a Zone 1 pace. Vinnie fits in walking while doing consults and doesn't even count that towards his weekly goal of exercise. Gina says she now stands during the recording of the Adam Carolla Show, just to make sure she is sitting less throughout the day. Vinnie gives an example of his friend Don Coddington's training for climbing Mont Blanc. GETTING OUT INTO NATURE Gina emphasizes how much she loves and needs to get out into nature for hikes, to get fresh air, connect, and decompress from life in the city. Nature is necessary to soothe the soul. Vinnie totally agrees and gives Gina many suggestions of where to hike in the Mammoth Lakes area. He then gives Gina even more suggestions for hikes in the Southern California region. There are always reasons to walk and enjoy nature.
