Julie and Garret are back this week with our special guest from last week Fred Hartsook in the fourth episode of a special run of podcasts for Ekklesia's series on Race and Gender Roles called "Walls Torn Down." This week Julie, Garret and Fred tackle the questions that came up: What does a vulnerability hang over feel like? How does it feel that a history with pain born out of racial difference is encouraging people? What is the main thing that Fred would want a person of color who doesn't follow Jesus to know about race and what the church is trying to do to address racial justice. Is there ever an appropriate time or a deep enough friendship that it is OK for a person with privilege to tell racial jokes, make fun of someones ethnic heritage or appearance?
