Wally, Where are you?

from Kurt Steele Meditation · host Kurt Steele

I decided to upload this song.  This is a song I wrote for a young street gang member I worked with in Chicago.  A friend found it as he was transferring my fathers tapes to digital format.  Funny thing, many years ago...while I was at Moody Bible Institute (1980-1983) in Chicago, I wrote this song for a boy named Wally who was a member of the '26' gang.  They met on 26th and Pulaski and I had the opportunity to minister to him with Youth for Christ.  My dad had me play this song at the end of one of his messages.  This was my heart and after all these years later, it is back...I desire to minister to the broken and the needy, to bring Jesus to set the captives free...I wandered away from God but I am back with the same burden yet intensified all the more.
