Walt Golet (migratory fish)

from Maine Science Podcast Hosted by Kate Dickerson, Walt Golet

Walt’s interest in, and enthusiasm for, larger fish species - think tuna and shark - was fostered in childhood, inspired in part by his father's work in commercial fishing and charter boat operations. Studying these larger fish can be difficult, given their wide-ranging movements, and advances in engineering (tagging) and science (genomics) has made this research "easier" to do. This conversation was recorded in September 2026. ~~~~~ The Maine Science Podcast is a production of the Maine Discovery Museum.
