Walter Cup Vanishes in Lethbridge | Calgary News

The PWHL’s championship Walter Cup has gone missing—vanished from a shipping container in Lethbridge, Alberta, just days after Montreal Victoire’s Dara Greig was set to hold it. Unlike the NHL’s Stanley Cup, the PWHL doesn’t have a dedicated courier for its trophy, leaving fans and officials scrambling to track it down. This special cup, designed with hockey stick rods and engravings of the league’s original teams, was awarded to Montreal in May as the first Canadian team to win the PWHL title. Named after league founder Mark Walter and his wife, it’s not the Hall of Fame version—but still deeply symbolic for the champions.
