2020年，我们经历了太多的意外，就连诺贝尔物理学奖也不例外。物理学奖的奖金大概是1000万瑞典克朗（760万人民币）。一半奖金颁发给彭罗斯，理由是他发现了黑洞的形成是广义相对论的强大预测。另外一半奖金由赖因哈德 ·根泽尔（Reinhard Genzel）和安德里亚· 盖兹（Andrea Ghez）二人平分，表彰他们在我们的星系中心发现了一个超大质量的紧凑型物体。
