War Games (1983) - "How about a nice game of chess?" - (Episode 95)

Nathan and Ollie brought in Phil for this one to tackle the movie that made every kid in 1983 want a modem. WarGames gave us Matthew Broderick committing a truly staggering number of federal crimes, a supercomputer named Joshua that just wants to play, and one of the great "oh no" moments in movie history. We get into whether the hacking actually holds up, the case for Dabney Coleman as the real villain, and how a film about nuclear annihilation somehow stayed this much fun. Best bit of trivia: Reagan watched this movie and it genuinely spooked the White House into taking computer security seriously. Enjoy!!
