Warning period to begin for school-zone speed cameras near Northeast High
from KYW Newsradio Audio On-Demand
Here's an alert for drivers on Cottman Avenue. A 60-day warning period starts Monday for school-zone speed cameras near Northeast High. The Philadelphia Parking Authority says the cameras will be activated in the mornings and afternoons on school days. Drivers going 11 mph or more over the 15 mph school-time speed limit will receive warnings in the mail. After Dec. 4, the warning period ends, and $100 fines will be issued. The school-zone speed cameras are currently in use at four other city schools. (Photo: Roman Nurutdinov / Getty Images)
