Modern Jews assign the title "Jew" to any historical figure whom they think will enhance their own prestige. It was sense was Mary a Jew? She never lived in Judea -- Jew-land. Her ancestor Judah would never have heard of the name "Jew." Mary was loyal to her son, Jesus, whom the Jews rejected as a Jew.
