Was Torah Nailed To Cross? Pt 2 ~ The Oral Torah v/s the Written Torah

from Hebraic Heritage Radio Podcasts · host Eddie Chumney

In this teaching segment, we look at a commonly misunderstood verse: Having abolished in his flesh the enmity even the law of commandments contained in ordinances…Ephesians 2:15 The Greek word “ordinances” is Strongs 1378 and it means “dogma”. We will look at other scriptures where this word occurs and we will see that it is associated with man made decrees. Yeshua abolished man made decrees and doctrines of man. We see that the Oral Torah is the decree of the Rabbis. The Oral Torah, which includes the Talmud and the Mishnah, is the rabbis interpretation of the Written Torah. The rabbis teach that their interpretation of the Torah and their decrees from the Oral Torah supercedes and is above the Written Torah.
