Washed by the Blood

The first covenant, the law, was performance based. If you did good, you received good. If you did bad, you received bad. The sacrifices of animals had to be made continually and still only the outward person was cleansed. It did nothing for the inward person. Jesus came to fulfill the first covenant and establish the second covenant of grace. Because of His one and only sacrifice we have been forever redeemed. His blood cleanses us from the inside out.
