Washington Shines as Terps Dominate UConn | Maryland Terrapins Football News

Malik Washington shattered program records with 18 straight completions, throwing for over 340 yards and two touchdowns as Maryland crushed UConn 38-14 in a dominant road win. Despite early struggles and the absence of running back DeJuan Williams, sophomore Iverson Howard stepped up, and the offense found its groove in the second half. The defense answered early woes with a stifling performance, holding UConn to minimal yardage and key stops from Sidney Stewart. Freshman Zion Elee made his mark with a forced fumble and sack, while tight ends saw more involvement than last time out. Maryland’s resilience, strategic adjustments, and explosive passing attack sealed the victory — a statement win built on record-setting stats and defensive grit.
