Wasteful Worrying

from Parent Time with Miss Leah · host Leah Rosenthal-Kambic

Moms are always worried. So many things all the time to worry about. This episode is about what NOT to worry about, and how to replace the wasteful worrying and pre-worrying we tend to do with constructive solutions. Let's normalize acknowledging that we can't control every aspect of our children's lives, but that we can teach them through modeling how to move through tough feelings and come out the other side. It is helpful to notice and acknowledge our own baggage to be sure we aren't putting it onto our kids backs, and also to know when we are creating extra stress on ourselves by worrying about things that simply aren't a problem. Stress is created by not acknowledging what IS, and trying to be somewhere you are not. Be here now. It's going to be ok. Lets find constructive solutions to real problems, rather than wasting our prescious energy on pre-worrying.
