Wasteland Appreciation Month - ”Hell Comes To Frogtown”

from Cinema Degeneration · host Cinema Degeneration

An all new Appreciation Month is upon us here at Cinema Degeneration and this time we are heading out into the Dystopian fueled nightmares of the Apocalypse with 'Wasteland Appreciation Month.' It's a month long celebration of all things Post-Apocalyptic so you can expect marauders, scavengers, mutants and mayhem, cool car chases, fights over water and fuel, and battles of epic proportions. Our first episode is on an all time B-Movie classic starring the late great Rowdy Roddy Piper with 1988's "HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN" from director Donald G. Jackson. Also starring Sandahl Bergman, William Smith, Rory Calhoun, Nicolas Worth and many more! It's a cautionary tale of what happens when 68% of the male population on earth is wiped out and virile men are a rarity. Piper portrays the character of Sam Hell, one of the last virile men on the planet who is tasked with the mission of rescuing a group of fertile women from a gang of humanoid frogs! If that sounds crazy to you, then you've got to see it to believe it. Our deep dive discussion is headed off by the Three Stooges of Cinema Degeneration... Eric Phillips (Sequel Too, Deja Vu), Korey Dawson (Without Warning) and Cameron Scott. You can expect digressions and rants on everything from legendary actor Royal Dano, John Cena and his eventual evolution into Ernest P. Worrell, multiple ideas for Frogtown reboots and recastings and sequels, and even the Brendan Frasier Mummy franchise. Buckle in because it's going to be a wild ride!   "Eat lead, Froggies!!!"
