Wasteland Appreciation Month - ”Rats: Night Of Terror”

from Cinema Degeneration · host Cinema Degeneration

We've fallen behind on editing these Wasteland episodes so we're extending the Appreciation Month topic into December as well. So, we hope you don't mind a few more trips heading out into the Dystopian fueled nightmares of the Apocalypse. It's a month long celebration of all things Post-Apocalyptic so you can expect marauders, scavengers, mutants and mayhem, cool car chases, fights over water and fuel, and battles of epic proportions. Coming up next in the dystopian and action mayhem in our 7th and final episode is a rather obscure Italian flick with 1984's "RATS: NIGHT OF TERROR" from directors Bruno Mattei (aka Vincent Dawn) and an uncredited Claudio Fragasso, who were both also co-writers on this cheesefest.  This romp tells of a nuclear bomb ravaged future where most people in the world live underground, but one group of scavengers go to the surface and find a secret abandoned lab plagued with secrets and KILLER RATS! The main cast portrayed by Ottaviano Dell'Acqua, Geretta Geretta, Massimo Vanni, Gianni Franco and many more Italian film stars of that era all under various aliases. This movie has an ending that is both shocking and hard to believe. Our deep dive discussion on this grueling flick is headed off by the duo of Cameron Scott with friend and frequent cohost of the Howling At The full Moon Podcast, Dustin Hubbard. Join them and buckle in because it's going to be a wild ride!    "This stupid machine needs a kick in the balls!"
